In Praise of Small Presses
This article serves as a fitting addition to the others I've referenced (here) on the supremacy of dead-tree books:
printed-on-a-copy-machine perfect-bound texts that abound on Amazon. I'm not knocking those outright, I own a few out of print texts that I wouldn't have otherwise, but they are no match to something that is lovingly and carefully put together. The facsimile books constitute a means to an end, but are often difficult to read because they have not been re-typset, either digitally, or manually.
